EU-standardized criminal record certificates from national police databases. Schengen Information System checks for cross-border verification.

Australia & New Zealand

Working with Children Check (WWC) in Australia, Police Vetting Service in New Zealand. Both systems include comprehensive criminal history and child protection order checks.

Americas

Countries:
Mexico, USA, Canada, Costa Rica
Verification Process:

FBI background checks (USA), RCMP criminal record checks (Canada), or equivalent national criminal record bureau certificates. State/provincial-level child abuse registry checks where available.

Continuous Monitoring

We don't just vet once and forget. We stay involved throughout your booking to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Pre-Booking Check-In

We contact your nanny 48 hours before your booking to confirm availability, review your family's needs, and ensure they're prepared.

Day 1 Check-In

Within 24 hours of your first session, we'll reach out to both you and your nanny to ensure everything is going smoothly.

Mid-Trip Follow-Up

For bookings longer than 3 days, we check in at the midpoint to address any concerns and ensure continued satisfaction.

Post-Trip Review

After your booking, we ask for feedback to maintain quality standards and help other families make informed decisions.

What Happens If Something Goes Wrong?

We hope you never need it, but we're prepared for any situation.

24/7 Emergency Support Line

Every booking includes a dedicated emergency hotline that connects you directly to our support team. Available in multiple languages, 365 days a year.

Incident Response Protocol

  • Immediate Action: Your call is answered within 60 seconds. We assess the situation and take immediate steps to ensure safety.
  • Replacement Nanny: If needed, we'll arrange a replacement nanny within hours at no additional booking fee.
  • Local Coordination: We work with local authorities, hotels, and emergency services on your behalf.
  • Full Investigation: We investigate all incidents thoroughly and take appropriate action, including permanent removal from the platform.

Insurance & Liability

All nannies are required to carry professional liability insurance where available in their region. For destinations where this isn't standard practice, we provide guidance on coverage options and strongly recommend families verify their travel insurance includes childcare coverage.

The Nanny Contract Explained

Every booking is formalized with a simple, transparent contract.

What's in the Contract?

When you book a nanny, both parties agree to a standardized service agreement that outlines expectations, responsibilities, and terms.

Contract Includes:

  • Dates, times, and location of care
  • Number and ages of children
  • Hourly rate and payment schedule
  • Specific duties and responsibilities
  • Emergency contact information
  • Cancellation and refund terms
  • Code of conduct and safety protocols
  • Platform terms and conditions

Important Note:

Holiday Nannies operates as a marketplace platform. The contract is directly between you (the family) and the nanny. We facilitate the connection and provide safety infrastructure, but we are not the employer nor an agency. This keeps costs low and gives families direct relationships with their nannies.
